Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-20
This Privacy Policy explains how the Snagger mobile application and Snagger Studio website (“the Service”) handle your information. Read it together with the Terms & Conditions.
1. The Short Version
Snagger is an offline-first app that also syncs to the cloud for Pro users, with a companion web app (Snagger Studio). A Snagger account (email and password) is required. On mobile, everything you create is saved to your device first — so the app works without an internet connection. With a Snagger Pro subscription, your data is also synced to Snagger’s EU-based cloud (hosted on Supabase infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany), keeping all your devices up to date and giving you access via Snagger Studio on the web. Snagger has no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app also provides an optional Drive backup to your own Google Drive account. You can delete your account and all cloud data at any time.
2. Information We Process
The Service processes the following information:
- Project, property, and report data you enter (names, addresses, owner contacts, descriptions, notes, dates).
- Photos you take in-app or import.
- Plans you import (PDF or image).
- Drawings, pins, and any markup you create.
- Your company / branding settings (company name, logo, letterhead, etc.).
- App preferences (theme, accent colour, layout choices).
On mobile this data is stored in the app’s local database and document storage on your device. For Pro subscribers, this same data is also synced to the cloud — see section 3.
3. Your Snagger Account & Cloud Sync
The Service requires a Snagger account (email and password). Your account is created and managed by Supabase Auth, part of Supabase’s EU-based infrastructure (AWS Frankfurt, Germany). When you sign up:
- Your email address and a hashed password are stored in Supabase Auth. We do not see or store your password in plain text.
- A profile record (email, optional display name) is created in Snagger’s cloud database.
With a Snagger Pro subscription, your data is automatically synced to the cloud:
- Projects, properties, reports, snag lists, minutes, plans, pins, and photos are stored in Supabase’s EU-based database and file storage under your account.
- Sync is two-way and offline-first: changes made without internet access are queued locally and uploaded when you reconnect.
- You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
4. Optional Google Drive Backup
The app offers an optional feature to back up Your Content using YOUR OWN Google Drive account. It is off until you sign in with Google and enable it. When enabled:
- You sign in with Google. The app requests only the “Drive app data” scope — a private, app-specific folder in your Drive that other apps cannot see — plus your account email address. It does NOT request access to the rest of your Google Drive.
- A copy of Your Content is uploaded to that private folder in your own Google Drive, and downloaded again when you restore or open the app on another device. This backup is separate from the Supabase cloud sync.
- Your data in Drive is stored in YOUR Google account, under Google’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- You can turn the feature off, or sign out, at any time. Signing out stops further Drive syncing; data already in your Google Drive stays under your control.
5. Team & Company Plans (Snagger Studio)
Team and Company subscriptions are purchased on Snagger Studio. When you subscribe:
- Payment is processed by Stripe (stripe.com). Stripe receives your payment card details under its own privacy policy; we do not see or store your card number.
- We store your organisation’s plan, subscription status, and renewal date, plus the list of member accounts, in Snagger’s EU-based cloud.
6. Data You Choose to Share
When you use the Service’s “Share” function (e.g. sharing a generated report PDF), your device’s native share sheet opens and you choose the destination. Once you send a file through another app, that app’s privacy policy governs what happens to it.
7. Children
The Service is intended for professional and adult use. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly process personal information of children.
8. Third Parties
The Service does not include third-party advertising networks, analytics services, crash-reporting services, or marketing trackers. The Service integrates with:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — authentication, database, and file storage for your account and cloud sync. Data is held in the EU (AWS Frankfurt, Germany). Governed by Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — manages mobile subscription entitlements and communicates with the App Store or Google Play on our behalf. Governed by RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
- Stripe (stripe.com) — processes Team/Company plan payments on the web. Governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Drive — only if you choose to enable Drive backup (see section 4). Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
9. Operating-System and Store Data
Apple App Store and Google Play may collect aggregated, device-level information about installs, crashes, and app usage as part of their platforms. That data is held by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies and is not shared with us in a way that identifies individuals.
10. Subscriptions and Payments
Snagger Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s App Store or Google Play; payment, billing, refunds, and renewal management are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms, and subscription receipts are processed by RevenueCat (see section 8). Team and Company plans are sold on the web and processed by Stripe (see section 5). We do not see or store your payment card details. Your subscription status is stored in your Snagger profile on our servers.
11. Your Rights
With a Snagger account, you have the following controls over your data:
- Access — view all your data inside the app or Snagger Studio at any time.
- Correction — edit any record at any time.
- Deletion — delete individual records, or delete your entire account to permanently remove all your cloud data. On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app. Data in your optional Google Drive backup can be deleted from your Google account.
- Portability — use “Export Backup” to obtain a local copy of your data.
If applicable data-protection laws (such as the EU GDPR) give you further rights, you may exercise them by contacting us at the address below.
12. Security
Your local data is held inside the app’s sandboxed storage on your device, protected by the operating system. Your cloud data is held in Supabase-hosted infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany — encrypted in transit (TLS) and encrypted at rest. If you enable Drive backup, that data is protected by Google’s security infrastructure. We recommend you use a device passcode or biometric lock.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised policy.
