General
What is Snagger?
Snagger is a snag list and site inspection app for iOS, Android and desktop (via Snagger Studio on the web). It lets you pin defects directly on your floor plans, attach photos, set priority and status, and generate professional PDF reports — all without a signal.
What is a snag list?
A snag list is a record of defects, incomplete work or non-conformances identified during a site inspection, typically compiled before practical completion. Each item is tied to a location on the plan and resolved once the contractor fixes it. In the US it's called a punch list; in the UK, Ireland and Australia it's a snag list. Snagger handles both.
Who is Snagger designed for?
Snagger is used by main contractors, subcontractors, architects, building surveyors, snagging inspectors, project managers, quantity surveyors, property developers, and homebuyers who want a professional record of a new-build or renovation snagging inspection.
What types of reports does Snagger produce?
Snagger produces four types of report: Snag Lists (construction and finishes/trades), Condition Reports (pre-works state of a property), Damage Reports (documenting damage found), and Minutes of Meetings (action-item-tracked site meeting records). All generate numbered, photo-backed PDFs.
Is Snagger a substitute for a professional survey?
Snagger is a tool for recording and communicating site observations. It does not replace a qualified surveyor's professional judgement or opinion. Always engage a qualified professional where a formal survey or expert opinion is required.
Getting started
How do I download Snagger?
Snagger is free to download on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). On desktop, sign in at this website (Snagger Studio) — no separate download needed.
Do I need an account to use Snagger?
A Snagger account is required to use the app. Your account keeps your projects backed up and synced across all your devices. Sign-up is free.
How do I create my first snag list?
Create a Project, then tap "+ Snag List" inside it. Choose Construction or Finishes, import a floor plan (PDF or photo), then walk the site and tap the plan wherever you find a defect. Add photos, a description and severity — then tap "Generate Report" when you're ready.
Can I use Snagger on multiple devices?
Yes. With a Pro subscription your projects sync across every device signed into the same account — phone, tablet and laptop (via Snagger Studio). Changes appear on every device as they are made.
Features
Does Snagger work without an internet connection?
Snagger needs a connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to save, because everything is saved straight to the cloud — that is what keeps your whole team, and the website, showing the same thing live. Without a connection you can still read what is already on screen; the app tells you when a change could not be saved.
Can I export PDF site inspection reports?
Yes — PDF export is a Pro feature. One tap generates a numbered, photo-backed PDF report with your company branding, logo and contact details. Revisions are tracked (R1, R2…) so you always have a history.
What is the difference between Construction and Finishes snag lists?
Construction snag lists cover the whole building — you pin defects on one or more floor plans and generate a single report. Finishes snag lists are organised by trade (Lighting, Flooring, Tiling…) — each trade gets its own drawing and its own PDF to issue to that subcontractor.
What are Condition Reports?
Condition Reports document the pre-works state of a property — useful before a neighbour's building works begin, before a tenant moves in, or to record the fabric of a building before renovation. Each property gets a floor plan with numbered photo pins. The output is a dated PDF that forms an agreed baseline record.
What are Minutes of Meetings?
The MoM feature records site meetings inside a project. You log attendees, discussion points (with photos and red-line annotations) and action items (New / Open / Delayed / Done). Points carry a stable reference number across meetings so a point raised in Meeting 4 stays "4.01" even when carried into Meeting 12. Finalise to issue a revision-tracked PDF.
Can I annotate photos with red-line markups?
Yes. On any photo attached to a snag pin or meeting discussion point you can draw lines, rectangles, circles and freehand strokes in red directly over the image. These annotations are embedded in the exported PDF.
How many pins can a snag list hold?
Up to 500 pins per list. Beyond 500 the app shows a warning — very large lists are best split by floor or zone.
Can I use Snagger Studio (web) to create and edit projects?
Yes. Snagger Studio at snagger-app.com lets you sign in, manage projects, create reports and generate PDFs on a laptop or desktop. Full pin editing on web plans is in active development.
Billing
Is Snagger free?
Snagger is free to download and use. Free accounts can create two projects, with six snag lists, condition reports, meetings or finishes rooms in total and ten trades in each room. Generating PDF reports, unlimited projects and multi-device sync require a Pro subscription.
How much does Snagger Pro cost?
Until 31 December 2026 everything is 30% off — and you keep that rate for as long as you stay subscribed. Snagger Pro is €6.99 / month or €70 / year (normally €9.99 / €100). Team is €29.75 / month or €273 / year (normally €42.50 / €390), Company is €59.50 / month or €542.50 / year (normally €85 / €775), and Firm is €119 / month or €1,085 / year (normally €170 / €1,550) — all billed on the web with shared workspaces for your team.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
In the app, tap Settings → Subscription → Upgrade. On this website, sign in and go to Settings. Payment is processed securely via Apple App Store or Google Play.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. Cancel any time from the App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Pro access until the end of the billing period. No penalties.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your projects remain on your device and in your account. You lose the ability to generate new PDFs and sync new changes — but everything you've already created stays safe. Resubscribe to restore full access.
Which plan do I need for my team?
Team covers 2–5 users, Company 6–10, and Firm 11–20. All three are bought on this website under Settings → Profile, and every seat includes full Pro access. Larger than 20 people? Get in touch and we'll put together an Enterprise contract.
Data & privacy
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on your device (locally in SQLite) and — for Pro users — backed up to Snagger's EU-based cloud (Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany). We never sell your data or show you ads.
Is my data private?
Yes. Snagger contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing. Your inspection data is yours. Pro accounts sync to our EU cloud but only you can access your projects — access is secured per account.
Is Snagger GDPR-compliant?
We are a EU-based company and Snagger is designed with GDPR principles in mind: data minimisation, EU-based hosting, and your right to delete your account and all data at any time from Settings → Cloud Account.
Can I back up my data to Google Drive?
Yes. From Settings → Backup & Data you can manually back up your local projects to your own Google Drive at any time. This is separate from cloud sync — it's a personal backup you control, and it does not overwrite or interact with your Snagger cloud account.
How do I delete my account and all data?
Go to Settings → Cloud Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all data from our servers. Your local on-device data is also cleared. This action cannot be undone.
Can I export my projects?
Every report you generate is a self-contained PDF stored on your device — you own it, share it and archive it however you like. Full data export (raw project data) is on the roadmap.
